- Address situations from a variety of perspectives for the benefit of the person being coached (PBC)

Purpose: To understand and be able to develop strong coaching relationships within the context
of ministry.

- Speak clearly about coaching and its benefits
- Understand both parts that make a strong coaching relationship – being a coach and doing coaching
- Orient around strengths for yourself and others
- Know the components that are needed to establish strong coaching relationships
- Draft effective coaching agreements
- Anticipate challenges that coaches face and know how to avoid them

Coaching as a Learning Catalyst
Purpose: To understand the role of coach as a learning partner and be able to facilitate learning
and results within the context of ministry.
By completing this class, you will be able to:
- Understand the connection between how the brain works and why coaching works
- Apply coaching skills in different ways to facilitate learning based on cognitive preferences and learning styles of the PBC for greater effectiveness
- Quickly assess the Personal Coaching Style of the PBC and communicate more effectively as a result

- Help people set standards and boundaries that are life-giving
